"Walks With Hawks"

An important part of our work is the rescue and rehabilitation of wild, injured birds of prey or unbelievably captive bred, neglected or mistreated birds. These are either brought to us by the Vet or brought to our attention by phone calls from concerned people. Our aim is always to return as many wild injured birds back to freedom as soon as possible.
We are lucky to have an exceptional avian vet,Greg Simpson from
Woodland's Vetenairy Practice who is kind enough to treat the wild raptor's we have free of charge in their time of need.
It is thanks to generous public donations that we are able to continue this very worthwhile work as this helps to pay for the equipment needed and the food bills.
The Hawk Walk and Owl Encounters help towards this to.
We are pleased to say that we have a very high success rate in this extremely rewarding area.
The satisfaction as we release these birds and see them flying free with another chance is hard to describe, but is something we cherish.
